- Diagnostic equipment, medical supplies and pharmaceutical oversupply in the U.S. could be transferred to African areas in need.
- This transfer requires relatively few resources but can yield immeasurable benefits.
- The transfer itself must be followed by the transfer of skills and standards to maintain those benefits.
- Strategic design of our diagnostic centers in a local community will allow us to leverage our presence to attract a complete array of health programs to the people.
We will transfer diagnostic equipment, medical supplies and pharmaceutical excess from the U.S. to Africa.
As a tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we will solicit tax-deductible donations of such
equipment and items, as current as possible, which are usually generations beyond equipment currently used in these
African areas.
We will establish a diagnostic center in the target region to amass the equipment to assure its
long-term operation and maintenance.
We will train local African people to work at the diagnostic center and will uphold U.S. standards
of operation and health care in the center.
We will design our center in such a way that any other health-related initiative in that area,
originating from anywhere in the world, will be facilitated.
We will maintain a system of linkages between our center, the people of the area, local health
providers, local community-based organizations, and the international community in order to progressively improve
the health status of the target population.
We will use our center to offer public health events of our own making, as well as those of other
agencies and organizations.
HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention programs have urgent priority, and will be pursued in
collaboration with African community-based organizations to penetrate at the grassroots level as quickly as possible.
These will be ongoing independent of the establishment of our diagnostic centers.
